About us

The Ephesians 6 Project is an outreach ministry whose mission is to help at risk veterans and first responders. These two communities have made numerous sacrifices to serve our nation and our communities. In doing so, they often see things that most could never even imagine. Because of this, many of these heroic men and women find themselves struggling in their personal lives. They face PTSD, mental illness, addiction, alcoholism, and, unfortunately, some take their own lives. It is our desire to help them find resources to help them cope and overcome these issues, and to provide them with Christian fellowship and support.

the heart of ephesians 6 project inc

At the heart of the Ephesians 6 Project outreach ministry are two core scriptures. The first, as our name implies, comes from Ephesians chapter 6. It is part of our mission to meet the needs of veterans and first responders, and to minister to them, helping them to don the full armour of God. Essentially, we are acting as recruiters for God's "army."

Ephesians 6:10-19 says:

"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, 19and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,"

The second scripture at the core of our ministry is known as the Great Commission. In it, Jesus calls us to go out into the world and make disciples of all nations. He has called each and every one of us that believes in him to action! Not just to attend church and Bible study. Not just to pray and maybe volunteer at church. He calls us to do so much more. We are to make disciples of all nations, to love one another, including our enemies. He wants us to feed the hungry, give shelter to the homeless, and comfort those who need it.

Matthew 28:16-20 says:

But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. 18And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. 19Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: 20teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Through the Ephesians 6 Project, it is our hope to do these things in which Jesus has called us to do. We would love to have fellow believers get involved with us and help us to grow so that we can reach and help as many veterans and first responders as possible.
